Touch Song™
Gender-Expansive Self Pleasure Ritual FAQs
-
🌑 Is this a sexual space?
While the container honours and celebrates erotic energy, this is not a space for dating, passive voyeurism, nor performance for others' arousal. Bodies share space while honouring spatial and energetic boundaries. Please be mindful when using the chat function to use I-statements and keep questions and statements focused on your own learning experience. If you cannot respect the boundaries of the work we are doing here, you will be removed from the stream.🌑 Is this therapy?
While therapeutic, this is not therapy. This is educational, somatic work focused on personal ritual, habit formation, and embodiment practice.🌑 What happens if I become emotional during the ritual?
Emotional release is natural and welcomed as part of the journey. The container is designed to hold all authentic expressions that arise. You'll be guided in tools for self-regulation, and you can rest at any moment to process. There is no expectation to "perform" any particular emotional experience. -
🌑 What level of nudity is involved?
In the in-person circle, we create a safe space where participants can either be completely naked, or clothing adjustments happen beneath blankets, maintaining comfort while allowing access for self-touch. The somatics of undressing is a key transition into this ritual container. The online format provides the option of complete privacy in your own space.🌑 What if my eyes wander?
Freeing the eyes from shame-based conditioning can be profoundly healing, especially for queer bodies who have often had to hide their desires. Whilst reciprocal compassionate witnessing is welcome in the space, the practice here remains focused on tending to our own sensations rather than fixating on external imagery or fantasy. We are here to raise consciousness around patriarchal sexual thinking that leaves many (non-consensually) objectifying other bodies and their own.🌑 What if I don't experience arousal or orgasm?
Touch Song™ is about reconnecting with your body's wisdom, not achieving specific outcomes. Many participants find profound value in the experience without conventional arousal or orgasm. The practice honours whatever arises authentically in your body. -
🌑 Do I need previous experience?
Not at all. Just a desire to release shame and rediscover/deepen feeling.
🌑 I'm a straight man. Is this space appropriate for me?
Absolutely. Touch Song™ welcomes all gender expressions and sexualities, including straight men. Male-identified participants often find these containers particularly valuable for exploring pleasure beyond performance and achievement-oriented patterns. The structure provides clear boundaries that help men discover new dimensions of their embodied sexuality.🌑 I have physical limitations or chronic pain. Can I still participate?
Absolutely. Touch Song™ is designed to meet you where you are. All explorations are offered as invitations that can be modified for your body's needs. Trust and honour your own embodied knowing.
